This course is an introduction to the wine service profession. It is ideal for people who wish to start a career in wine service or enthusiasts who wish to be acquainted with the art of serving wines.
The course is run over one intensive day and is based around the development of practical skills in a realistic restaurant setting.
The aim of the course is to show how to identify and satisfy customer needs and provide useful information into the career progression to becoming a wine waiter or sommelier.
The Level 1 Award in Wine Service is assessed with a role play restaurant wine service scenario. A mark of 70% required to pass and the exam takes place in the last session of each course. A certificate is issued to successful candidates.
If you do not hold either qualification, you can still join the course by taking our two consecutive day package, which includes Level 1 Award in Wines on the first day.
