Tutor and Business Development
Despite her young age, our resident winemaker Serena has already accumulate quite an array of international experiences. After her degree in Viticulture and Enology from Milan University, she worked in Franciacorta and Montalcino before taking off to enrich her winemaking skills with a New World perspective in two Australian wineries, one in Victoria and the other in Margaret River. Before returning to the Old Continent she moved over to New Zealand, where she acquired intimate knowledge of grape varieties like Pinot Noir and Sauvignon Blanc.
Serena has also represented several wineries in trade tastings in Italy and in the United States.
Meanwhile, she has earned her WSET Level 3 in Wines and Spirits qualification and is now working on her master's degree in Human Nutrition and Dietetics with a view to exploring in depth the interactions between wine and health. She is often seen working on Accademiavino courses as a tutoring assistant.
